Jordan went to visit our friend Elliot in Dallas last weekend while I was left to study at home but I did take a little break to go to the OU v. North Texas football game with my dad. I must admit that this was a bit of a conflict for my Razorback spirit but we had a good time. I missed being in the stands in Fayetteville and had to just watch the score scroll by in Norman. :(

Two weeks into Medical School
I am starting my third week of medical school Monday and it has been a bit of a whirlwind! I got my first white coat, my first stethascope (and laughed because I didn't know what to do with it), had my first "pretend patient", have worked 4 afternoons on my cadaver, and am adjusting to the massive amount of material. This is a picture of all my books which I am sure that I will not have time to read entirely. All in all though I am having a blast. Sometimes it seems like a lot of book work but every day I get to do something or learn something that makes me think "wow! this is why i wanted to come to medical school". I haven't cooked in about a week and a half and so I am grateful for my sister, brother in law and husband who make sure it is on the table. I feel blessed to get to be here.
Our First Week in Oklahoma
Jordan's Classroom
White Coat Ceremony
My "Mod"
Our first week back in Oklahoma was a busy one. Jordan worked really hard to get his classroom all together. I think he adds more each day. It looks amazing! Their theme is the Oklahoma State Centennial Celebration. He was very grateful for all the people that gave him stuff because when we first got there his room was pretty bare! His kids came to school last week and he loves them all. He comes home with stories every day. He is starting to work at the after school program next week too.
I had medical school orientation for three days that week also. I met all my classmates and more importantly my small group members - my "mod", short for module. The week of orientation ended with our white coat ceremony. Mostly for the parents, it was a fun night and kind of surreal. (Sorry those pics aren't very good.)

See ya later!
Jordan and I were so grateful for all the "See ya later" celebrations in Arkansas before we moved. Thank you so much!!!
We are getting settled into Oklahoma and trying to find our way around. My TomTom is getting a lot of use!!! Jordan is working to set up his classroom and I am trying to figure out downtown OKC. Hopefully we will have some Oklahoma pictures soon!

England and Scotland
Jordan at Stonehenge
The Harris family on the London Eye
We spent 11 days in England and Scotland with Jordan's mother's high school class trip. It was our first time to visit there and we had a blast! Jordan was so excited to get to see Stonehenge. He also stood illegally on Hadrian's Wall. (We all know how much he likes to follow the rules) I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to see Prince William - maybe next time. ;) But, I did get to visit lots of castles and feel like a princess for the day!
Jordan's Graduation
Weddings!
Jordan and I have been blessed to be apart of lots of weddings this spring and summer. Julie and Adam were married in April, followed by Megan and Chris, then Zach and Staci and we are anxiously awaiting Kyla and Titus's wedding in August. We are happy for all the new couples and thankful that they made us apart of their big day!
Back to Blogging
After being chastised by my friends for not updating the House of Harris blog I have recovered my account information and should be up and running again. Sorry it was so boring for a whileI We look forward to keeping in touch!
